Plateau State University Admission Requirement
The UTME entry and the Direct Entry are the two main entry methods used by PLASU to admit students into undergraduate programs.
PLASU Admission Requirements Through UTME
- Candidates must be 16 years of age or older.
- Candidates must receive a minimum of 6 (six) “Cs (Credits)” in their O’level grade(s). English language, math, and three other topics pertinent to their area of study must be included. A candidate who wishes to study law, for example, must have a “C” in English Language, Math, Government/History, Economics, and English Literature.
- In the JAMB UTME exam, candidates must have a score of at least 170.
- Candidates must take the PLASU post-UTME screening test and must score highly (depending on their field of study) in order to be considered.
- Admission to Plateau State University (PLASU) is based only on the results of ONE sitting.
- Candidates must select the appropriate subject mix for their courses.
- Last but not least, applicants must achieve the required cutoff scores for their courses in order to be admitted to the university.
PLASU Admission Requirements Through Direct Entry
Candidates must fulfill the following prerequisites in order to be admitted directly into Plateau State University (PLASU):
- The minimum number of credits a candidate must have in their O-level score is five (5). Mathematics and English are both required in this. Two sitting results are not permitted, nevertheless.
- Candidates must also be at least 16 years old.
- To apply, candidates must obtain a JAMB Directly entrance form from JAMB.
- Any of the following certificates should be held by candidates: Cambridge, OND, ND, NCE, IJMB ICAN, BSc, HND, and A levels.
