JAMB Subject Combination for Banking And Finance

  1. Use of English
  2. Economics
  3. Mathematics and
  4. any other Social Science subject (Government, Commerce e.t.c).

English language, Mathematics, and any additional subjects must all be passed with five (5) SSC credits. For NBC, the additional two (2) pertinent courses could come from any of the following: Accounting, Principles of Accounting, Commerce, Office Practices, and Economics.

Also, Economics, Mathematics, and any other Arts or Social Science subjects are also Jamb combinations for studying Banking and Finance with at least 220 as a cut-off point to increase your chances of admission.

In contrast to JAMB, you will need to take a minimum of eight (8) and a maximum of nine (9), out of which five are essential core courses for the degree you want to enroll in, in this case, Banking and Finance.

The essential subjects for studying banking and finance in WAEC are…

  2. Government*
  3. Commerce*
  4. Mathematics
  5. English Language

You will select the remaining three (3) or four (4) subjects by yourself.

For all O’ level exams, including NECO, NABTEB, and others, this WAEC subject and JAMB combination are acceptable.
