The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has officially released a statement that the 2024 JAMB Direct Entry Registration has officially begun and will be concluded on the 13th of May 2024.
The sole aim of the JAMB Direct Entry is for candidates who already hold an A-level certificate, degree, or diploma and wishes to pursue a degree program at any university of their choice.
On a general note, applicants who were offered provisional admission into a university via direct entry will commence their studies from 200 level in their preferred university, provided they have been granted admission.
JAMB Direct Entry Eligibility
Candidates with one of the following qualifications may be considered eligible for admission by Direct Entry:
1. At least two required subjects (for each discipline) must be taken at the Principal or Advanced level in order to receive a minimum of five (5) O’Level credits in no more than two sittings. At both the Ordinary and Advanced Levels, no subject may be taken more than once.
2. IJMB, Cambridge, JUPEB, or Institute of Baccalaureate Advanced-Level Examination with two passes (in prescribed courses for each discipline) and equivalent SSCE/GCE, NTS/NBC credits in three additional subjects.
3. Passes in two major subjects in the NCE with S.C.E., NTC/NBC credits, or equivalents in THREE other subjects (mainly for Education Courses) and ND. For Education courses, Education may be accepted as a third A’ Level subject
4. O’Level requirements and a National Diploma or National Innovation Diploma with a minimum lower credit grade.
How to Apply for 2024 JAMB Direct Entry
1. Registration Fee is Three Thousand Five Hundred (N3,500) Naira Additional Five Hundred (N500) Naira Only is paid to obtain the reading text “The Last Days at Forcados High School” for DE Candidates and $20 for Candidates from the eight foreign centers.
2. A CD containing JAMB e-Syllabus, Brochure, and other vital materials is also given free
3. Candidates should note that ePINS purchased are tied to individual profile and are not transferable
4. Candidates are advised to keep as private and confidential their security details such as registration numbers, password/numbers of ATM Cards, email addresses, and ePINs
A. PROFILE REGISTRATION
1. Candidates are only permitted to use one cell (mobile) number. All communications regarding the candidate’s 2018 application and examination will be made using the cell phone number used for the text message, which is automatically linked to the candidate’s name.
2. Candidate sends name (Surname First-Name Middle-Name (if any)) by text (SMS) to 55019 This should be a maximum of 40 characters, including 2 spaces between names, for example. Adumegwu Tinubu Adamu. It is required to use your first and last name.
3. The candidate dials the same phone number and receives a 10-character Profile Code.
B. SELF-HELP IN CASE OF MISTAKE/LOSS OF PROFILE CODE
1. From the same mobile device, text [CORRECT Surname First-Name Middle-Name] to 55019 if the candidate’s name is misspelled.
2. For the purpose of retrieving a lost Profile Code, text [RESEND] to 55019 from the same mobile number.
C. JAMB ePIN SELLING POINTS The ePIN outlets are:

F. HOW TO RECOVER LOST ePIN AFTER PAYMENT
1. If ePIN is not Received or Lost, send [UTMEPIN] or [DEPIN] to 55019 for UTME or DE respectively from the unique number
2. The ePIN would then be retrieved and delivered on the candidate’s unique number
AFTER SUCCESSFUL PAYMENT AND OBTAINING ePIN, CANDIDATE SHOULD PROCEED TO ANY OF THE JAMB-ACCREDITED CBT CENTRES TO COMPLETE HIS/HER REGISTRATION.
G. REGISTRATION PROCESS AT CBT CENTRES:
At any JAMB-accredited CBT Center, the candidate must present the ePIN to complete registration. The candidate’s name appears immediately when the CBT center enters the e-PIN that was entered by the candidate while registering their profile on their phone.
Candidates are to:
1. Pay NOT more than N700 as Service Charge to the CBT Centre
2. Describe yourself by providing information like your birth date, nationality, state of origin, local government, gender, and email address, among other things.
3. Provide a choice of institutions and programs (disciplines)
4. Provide qualification with grades and dates, if not awaiting result
5. Upload relevant certificates, if not awaiting the result
6. O/L and or A/L grades are to be provided by candidates. Candidates who are awaiting results should supply the results online as soon as they are available on JAMB’s portal.
No recommendations from any Institution will be considered by JAMB if the candidate has not supplied his/her result on the portal of JAMB

Aside from the JAMB State Offices and accredited CBT centers, no candidate should register at any other location. The registration of any candidate outside of authorized centers will be detected and they will be disqualified.
H. GENERAL INFORMATION
1. Prior to purchasing the ePIN, all candidates are required to register their profiles via text messages as shown above.
2. The registration fee is non-refundable
3. As it is the practice, centers are allowed to charge not more than Seven Hundred Naira ( ₦ 700) only as registration Any center that charges more than Seven Hundred Naira ( ₦ 700) should be reported to JAMB for appropriate sanctions
4. One of the participating banks, MMOs, MFBs, etc. must be chosen by each CBT center. For the purpose of collecting the payments, certain financial institutions must be present at the CBT centers. Direct cash transactions with applicants are not permitted between CBT center employees.
5. Before beginning the registration process, candidates are urged to read and understand the admissions policies and the directions on how to complete the online registration.
6. Several registrations are not acceptable The identification and disqualification of candidates who register more than once.
7. Candidates should be aware that they must take a live photograph in order for it to be embossed on their result slips and admission letters. No passport photos that have been scanned or stapled are permitted.
8. Candidates should be aware that regardless of the area of study they choose, they will also be evaluated on a general text: “The Last Days at Forcados High School” by H. Mohammed for Direct Entry Candidates.
9. Both candidates and officially are restricted from entering the examination center with a wristwatch, Phone, electronic device, or any pen/biro. Only a common pencil is allowed.
Candidates are warned that the Board does not require nor authorize the services of ANY cyber cafe or establishment other than the accredited CBT centers for this exercise
How to Apply for 2024 JAMB Direct Entry in Foreign Countries.
1. Registration fee for candidates from the eight foreign countries is $20 or its equivalent in each of the eight countries
2. Candidates from the eight foreign countries are to download the Application from the Board’s website (www.jamb.gov.ng) complete and submit it with the fee at the eight designated centers as indicated on the website.
Requirements For JAMB 2024/2025 Direct Entry
The requirements for JAMB 2024/2025 Direct entry are below;
A minimum of 5 credit passes in WASCE/GCE and its equivalent at no more than two sittings with at least two principal or advanced level CE.
Passes at the IJMB Advanced Level examinations, Cambridge Moderated School Of Basic Studies Terminal Examination, and JUPEB from recognized institutions with SSCE/GCE, NTS/NBC credit equivalent in three other courses.
Passes in two major sources in the NCE with SSCE, NTS/NBC credit equivalent in 3 other subjects (mainly for Education Courses), and National Diploma. Education may be taken as a “Third A level” subject for those taking courses in Education.
Minimum of lower credit grade in National Diploma or National Innovation Diploma including the O’ Level requirement.
For Direct entry Admission, candidates are required to provide their JAMB registration number which they used in gaining admission to NCE or Diploma.

2. Approach any approved JAMB CBT center or Bank to get the JAMB E-Pin. Your registration number, passwords/numbers of ATM cards, E-Pins, and Email address must be kept confidential.
3. Only JAMB-approved CBT centers can be used for registration.
4. The E-Pin issued to each candidate must be collected as proof of enrollment.
5. Registration costs for CBT centers cannot be higher than 700 Naira.
