General Admission Requirements For Igbinedion University Postgraduate Programs
- Candidates must have obtained at least five (5) credits in WASC, NECO, or GCE (ordinary level or their equivalents).
- Candidates must have four credits at O’level, Plus ONO (not pass), NCE, IJMB, or advanced level passes, or any other equivalent.
- Candidates who have a pass in their degree or diploma studies are not qualified for admission into the postgraduate program of the degree. Candidates with a pass must have a PGD to be considered for admission into the Master’s Programmes.
- Candidates for the PhD program must have obtained a minimum weighted average score of 60% in the Master’s degree.
- All candidates are expected to possess an NYSC discharge/Exemption letter.
Programme Specific Requirements
In addition to the above, candidates for these programs must also meet these requirements:-
Nursing
- Candidates for postgraduate in nursing must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria a
- They must also possess a valid license from the Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
Computer Science
- Candidates with degrees in Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, BSc.(Ed) Computer will be considered.
Physiology
- Candidates with a B.Sc. in a program where Physiology was part of their curriculum will be considered for admission.
- Candidates with an MBA from a recognized University can apply for an MPhil/Ph.D..D in Management
Note: Candidates are advised to request their transcripts from their former institution. Candidates whose transcripts have not been sent will not be considered.
Candidates should provide the email addresses of their referees and contact them to complete the form sent to them within five working days of submitting their form.
How To Apply For Postgraduate Programs 2024
- Visit https://iuokada.waeup.org/applicants/pgphd.
- Click on “Online Applications” and then “Postgraduate Admission.”
- Select “Register for application” at the top left of the page.
- Complete the form and ensure you have access to the email address you provided.
- You will receive an ID and password via email. Click the link in your email to continue.
- Return to https://iuokada.waeup.org and click “Login” at the top right.
- Enter your username and password from the email.
- To start your application, click “Application record” and provide the required information.
- Upload a recent, clear, colored passport photograph (1″ x 1″).
The passport photograph uploaded will be the only valid ID for all admitted candidates throughout their stay at Igbinedion University Okada.
How To Pay For Igbinedion University Postgraduate Admission Form
To pay for the application, follow these steps:-
- Click “Add online payment ticket” at the bottom of the page.
- Select “Pay with…” Interswitch or Etransact at the top left corner of the page.
- Follow the instructions to pay the application fee of N115,000.00 (excluding charges) using a valid ATM-enabled card from any commercial bank in Nigeria, or print the payment slip and pay at your bank of choice.
- Preview and confirm your information before submitting your application online.
- Ensure your transcript is sent to the university and that your referees complete the form sent to them via email.
Note: Only candidates who receive an offer letter of admission should proceed to pay the non-refundable acceptance fee, the amount of which will be communicated to them.
