This notice invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Postgraduate Diplomas, Masters, and Doctor of Philosophy Degree Programs admissions for the 2024/2025 academic session.

FUNAAB Postgraduate Programs

FUNAAB Postgraduate Admission Requirements and Duration:

1. Postgraduate Diploma Program:

Eligibility: First-degree holders in a relevant discipline from any recognized university Holders of HND with upper credit and above may also apply.

Duration: a minimum of two (2) semesters and a maximum of four semesters.

2. Master’s Degree Program:

Eligibility: Graduates of FUNAAB or any other university recognized by the Senate with a minimum of Second Class (Upper Division) degree in a relevant field. Second-class lower-degree holders in relevant fields may also be considered.

Duration: varies by program, with a minimum of four (4) semesters.

3. Masters of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) Program:

Eligibility: HND holders with a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science or B.Sc. Physical Sciences/Engineering Relevant professional qualifications and/or experience are advantageous.

Duration: a minimum of 4 semesters.

4. MBA (Agri-Business) and Professional Master in Communication Studies Degree Programs:

Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or HND (Upper Credit Minimum) with a Postgraduate Diploma in any discipline. Relevant professional qualifications and/or experience are an advantage.

Duration: a minimum of 4 semesters.

5. Masters of Environment Management (MEM):

Eligibility: Degree or HND holders with distinction or credit pass plus PGD in relevant fields, meeting basic UTME requirements.

Duration: Three (3) semesters.

6. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree Programme:

Eligibility: Master’s degree holders from FUNAAB or any other university recognized by the Senate. Holders of equivalent qualifications must satisfy additional Senate-specified requirements.

Duration: varies for full-time and part-time candidates.

Applicants for academic Masters and Ph.D. programs are required to submit a research proposal along with their application forms and may undergo interactions with their respective departments before admission.

Duration of FUNAAB Postgraduate Program

– Full Time (FT): 6 Semesters Minimum & Maximum of 10 Semesters
– Part Time (PT): 8 Semesters Minimum & Maximum of 12 Semesters

– Full Time (FT): 4 Semesters Minimum & Maximum of 8 Semesters
– Part Time (PT): 8 Semesters Minimum & Maximum of 12 Semesters

Professional Masters Programs:

– Full Time (FT): 3 Semesters Minimum & Maximum of 6 Semesters
– Part Time (PT): 4 Semesters Minimum & Maximum of 8 Semesters

PGD Programmes:

– Full Time (FT): 2 Semesters Minimum & Maximum of 4 Semesters
– Part Time (PT): 4 Semesters Minimum & Maximum of 8 Semesters

How to Apply for FUNAAB Postgraduate Admission Form 2024/2025

Prospective applicants can visit the PG Application Portal to begin the application process. The application cost is Fifteen Thousand Five Hundred and Sixty Naira (N15,560:00) only, exclusive of bank charges.
