Elizade University Postgraduate Admission Requirements 2024

There are certain criteria an applicant must meet before applying for the institution’s post-graduate programs. Below are the admission requirements an applicant must meet for admission to the post-graduate diploma (PGD):

  • Postgraduate Diploma Programmes (Full-Time): Applicant must be a graduate of Elizade University or any other approved University with at least a 3rd Class Degree. Duration for the program shall run for a minimum of one (1) academic session.
  • Master Degree Programmes (Full-Time): Applicant shall possess not lower than a Second Class (Lower Division) Honours Degree of Elizade University or any other approved institution. The duration shall be a minimum of three (3) Semesters and a maximum of Six (6) Semesters.
  • Master of Philosophy Degree Programme (MPhil. Full-Time and Part-Time): Applicants must possess first class or Second Class (Upper Division) with a CGPA of 4.0 and above. The duration for this program is a minimum of two (2) semesters and a maximum of three (3) semesters for full-time students. A minimum of three (3) semesters and a maximum of four (4) semesters for part-time students.
  • Doctor of Philosophy Degree Programme (Full-Time and Part-Time): Applicants must possess a Master’s Degree with a research thesis and a weighted coursework average which normally should not be less than 60% or a CGPA of 3.5 on a scale of 5.00, 4.5 on a scale of 6.00, 5.0 on a scale of 7.00. The program duration is a minimum of three (3) academic sessions or six (6) semesters), a maximum of four (4) academic sessions or eight (8) semesters for full-time students, and a minimum of four (4) academic sessions or eight (8) semesters and a maximum of five (5) academic sessions or ten (10) semesters for part-time students.

Apart from meeting the general admission requirements, all applicants must also fulfill Elizade University’s O’Level criteria for entry into undergraduate programs. This means you need five credits from your O’Level exams, which can be earned in not more than two sittings. These credits must include English Language and Mathematics where required.
