Babcock University Postgraduate Form 2024/2025: The administration of Babcock College of Postgraduate Studies would like to notify the public that the Babcock University Postgraduate Admission Form for the PGD, Masters, and PHD programs for the 2024/2025 academic year is now available. Applications for admission to the Babcock University Postgraduate Programs, which result in the awarding of Post Graduate Diplomas (PGD), Masters, and Doctor of Philosophy Degrees upon successful completion of the programs, are now being accepted from qualified candidates.
Admission Requirements at Babcock University
Babcock University offers postgraduate programs in two modules:
1. Regular Semester Module: This module runs from September to April every year.
2. Elongated Semester Module: This module runs for 24 weeks (weekends only), starting in July each year.
Admission Requirements:
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD):
– Candidates must be graduates from recognized universities or possess qualifications deemed equivalent to a first degree.
Masters Degree:
– Candidates must hold a first degree from a recognized university with a minimum of a second class lower division.
– Alternatively, candidates with a good postgraduate diploma from a recognized university, along with a professional certification and a first degree or HND, may also be admitted to a Masters Degree program.
Ph.D. Degree Requirements at Babcock University
To be admitted to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program, applicants must have obtained a good Master’s Degree with a minimum average of 60% or a 4.00 CGPA on a 5-point scale from a recognized university. Additionally, applicants must submit a Ph.D. proposal of not more than 10 pages in their chosen area of specialization along with the application form.
Duration of Babcock University Postgraduate Programs
– Minimum of three or four semesters for the Master’s Degree (e.g., MPH = 4).
– M.Phil.: Four semesters after the completion of the Master’s Degree.
– Minimum of six semesters for the Ph.D. program for full-time students.
How to Apply for Babcock University PG Admission Form
1. Obtain the application forms online from the Babcock official website. Click on the “Apply Here” link to access the form.
2. Download and print the Application Form in PDF format, fill it, and return the hard copy with the required documents and a non-refundable application fee of N10,000 paid into Babcock Microfinance Bank, or in a bank draft drawn on the name Babcock University from any bank. At the back of the draft, fill in the candidate’s names and choice of program.
3. Completed Application forms should be accompanied by photocopies of:
– Bachelor’s Degree/HND Certificate
– Master’s Degree Certificate for candidates proposing to pursue Ph.D.
– NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate for Nigerian Candidates
– Marriage Certificate or Evidence of Change of Name(s), where applicable
– 2 recent passport-size photographs
4. Ensure that academic transcripts are sent to the School of Postgraduate Studies from previous universities. While provisional admission can be granted on the basis of certificates, no application is fully processed without the full transcripts of previous academic engagement, which is the responsibility of the candidate.
