The American University of Nigeria (AUN) has declared the start of its undergraduate admissions process for 2024/2025. This educational manual is intended to assist potential students in comprehending the prerequisites and registration specifics.

The American University of Nigeria’s Admissions & Financial Aid Office and the Abuja Liaison Office accept completed hard copy applications in addition to online applications from interested parties.

The application should consist of the filled-out application form, your SSCE results, your high school transcripts (SS1-3), a recommendation letter, your JAMB results, a copy of your ID card, and a personal essay explaining your decision to attend AUN and your future goals.

American University of Nigeria Admission Requirement

For direct entry and transfer students, the following documents are required for admission:

– Diploma result (NCE/OND/HND) or ‘A’ Level certificate
– Official transcripts
– SSCE results
– Direct entry JAMB or IJMB
– Recommendation letter
– Other relevant documents as specified by the university

International students are required to submit the following documents for admission:

– End of High/Secondary School External Examination Grades
– Copies of high/secondary school transcripts for the last three years
– Letter of recommendation
– Personal statement
– Photocopy of ID card
– Valid passport & appropriate visa
– Four personal passport photographs

Assessment of Applications

It’s crucial to remember that admittance to the university is not guaranteed, even with the scores and grades listed above. The pool of applications is carefully screened, and approval is extended to the best eligible applicants.

JAMB scores, WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, IGCSE scores, and transcripts for grades SS1, SS2, and SS3 are among the factors considered.

Admission Processing

The AUN Admissions Committee reviews completed applications only. Applicants are advised to keep original copies of their academic documents for future reference, as AUN does not return any submitted documents once registration is completed.
